  We chose Samara Rainforest Retreat and Day Spa for our honeymoon and we could not be happier with the week we spent here. From start to finish we felt welcome and at ease with Rick and Jaz, the lovely people who run Samara. For the entirety of our stay we were looked after and made to feel like our relaxation and enjoyment at Samara was of upmost importance. I would highly recommend staying here as you will leave feeling refreshed, rejuvenated and eager to return!

  We cannot speak highly enough of the service, food, beauty and love that we experienced at Samara's, and we cannot wait to go again. If you want somewhere to be spoiled and experience a genuine welcome and care, then this resort is a must.

  I chose this spot to surprise my partner with a couple of romantic nights at the Samara Rainforest Retreat... let's just say I was the one that was surprised! It far exceeded my expectations! The property itself is gorgeous, our accomodation was fantastic with our own bedroom, sitting room, bathroom and amenities.. The hosts were amazing - we could talk to them for hours! Rick, Jaz, we had a great time. You're hospitality and warmth are by far the best assets of the retreat! We loved our massages, breakfast and of course happy hour! We would highly recommended you to anyone & everyone we know - we hope to visit you again soon! Thank you guys xx

  Spent a glorious weekend at Samara, lapping up the luxurious surrounds and generous hospitality shown to us by hosts Rick and Jaz (and Honey and Molly). From the moment we arrived, everything about our stay was totally enjoyable. The house is amazing, from the stunning entry to rain forest backdrop - and everything in between. We enjoyed a thoroughly relaxing massage on site as part of our package and were spoiled rotten to have the whole place to ourselves for a lazy Sunday we won't soon forget. A1 hosts, A1 lodgings, A1 hospitality in the Buddha bar and at the breakfast table. Just fantastic!

  We arrived after our nearby lunch to find Rick and Jaz waiting for us at the entry with beautiful white balloons and welcome gifts. Rick made us a cocktail of our choice while we swam in the afternoon before we had the most amazing joint spa and massage experience.

  Another cocktail and coffee after dinner, with some complimentary chocolates and a gorgeous night view on the back patio looking over the pool and bushland topped off the evening. I should also mention we had the resort to ourselves, which was amazing, and the room and facilities are just gorgeous.

  We had opted to dine at the resort, and were absolutely BLOWN AWAY by the quality of the food that Rick himself (former 5 star chef) had prepared for us. It was beyond description in how it was presented and how it tasted. Rick and Jaz had accommodated for my being coeliac without any problem whatsoever, and had even printed off personalised menus for us. We chose to dress in our wedding outfits again for dinner, and Rick and Jaz took photos for us and were just amazing in accommodating anything we asked for or needed.

  My husband and I were married at sunrise on a Sunday morning and for various reasons were not able to travel away for a honeymoon at that time. Instead we opted for a nights stay at the Samara resort, and it was the best decision we could have made.
